CLOSE AS AIR, Malea's 2nd studio album, was produced by Jamie Candiloro (Ryan Adams, Sheryl Crow) and Michael Patterson (Jennifer Lopez, Beck), 1st single "Spinning," currently being played on national AAA Radio. Malea directed the video for "Spinning" video which is currently in rotation on MTV.

Her intimate vocals, with a slight hint of country twang, recall some of MALEA's own favorites, from roots Americana performers like Linda Ronstadt, Eagles, Stevie Nicks, and Eva Cassidy to more R&B-flavored singers like Roberta Flack, Laura Nyro and Elton John.
