Please join us for a stunning evening of Malaysian Batik Fashion.

The art of Batik uses an application of melted wax & dye to fine fabrics, & then dissolves the wax to reveal a distinctive character of rich color & depth. Each article is a hand-crafted one-of-a-kind piece that raises the elegance of high fashion to wearable art.

Held at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, we invite you to an evening of beautifully bold & innovative creations from one of the world's most exotic cultures. Presented by The Friends of the Torpedo Factory, & Batik Designer Sharifah Maheran Barakbah, the event runs from 6pm-9pm. All apparel will be available for sale, refreshments will be provided, & the event is free to the public. Program is scheduled to start at 7pm.
