The Broome County Public Library Knitting Group will hold a mini-class on making a felted handbag. Class participants will need to know how to cast on stitches and the knit stitch, but all other skills needed for this project will be taught during the class. Persons interested in this mini-class should contact Sherry Kowalski for a copy of the pattern and the material list, and participants must complete a portion of this project before the June 15 class. You may contact Sherry by phone (607-778-6423) or email ([email protected]) for more information.

The Library Knitting Group meets the third Wednesday of each month. The group is open to knitters of all skill levels, and each participant should bring a project to work on. Anyone interested in participating in the group’s summer charity knitting project can work on catnip toys and blankets for the Animal Care Council located in Endicott. For more information, please contact Sherry at the above phone number or email address.
