Maitreya Bodhisattva Beseeching Blessings Dharma Assembly January 25, 2009

Jan. 25, 2009 is the holy birthday of Maitreya Bodhisattva, the next Buddha to come to this world. The Maitreya Bodhisattva Beseechings Dharma Assembly will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. This Dharma Assembly is jointly conducted by the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (U.I.W.B.A.H), Hua Zang Si and Sanger Mission.
We will recite The Buddha Speaks of Maitreya's Attaining Buddhahood Sutra, worship, praise the Buddha, and practice The Meal Offerings ritual before the Buddhas. New- Year- Beseeching- Blessings lamps will also be lit. We will beseech empowerment from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for good health, auspiciousness, happiness among families, and peace among countries of the world.
