Honest lyrics are woven together with multi-layered harmonies to create a unique sound and strong style. The band has described their music as being a blend of the Hungry Kids Of Hungary and Powderfinger, with a healthy dose of the Killers and just a hint of Coldplay. -- -- THE RUM CORP, Combining the harsh gravel of a newly tarred road in the vocal stylings of singer/songwriter Kyle Phillipson, with melodic tamperings of Cello, Bass and thumping Drums. The Rum Corps exude a shambolic vibe through their savage interpretation of rural inspired folk balladry, a sound reminiscent of long rainy nights spent with red wine and Leanord Cohen albums
