MAGNUMITES:We are excited to resume our wine tasting series for 2009. We are also switching to EventBrite for event announcements, due to the unending issues with Evite....
Our first event of the year will be held at a new venue for our group,Gary Farrell Vineyards and Winery, where Scott also happens to reign over the tasting room. (http://www.garyfarrellwines.com). In five years of putting these events together, this is also our first host winery in the Russian River appellation! If you have not been to this modern facility, it commands a stunning view over the valley below that you won't want to miss.The barrell room and outdoor patio (weather permitting) will host our event and the tasting room will be open for sampling and purchases.Thanks go to Scott Monroe and Deb Price for providing the facility. Pinot Noir is synonomous with Gary Farrell Winery.Pinot can also be one of the more pricey varietals. So, in acknowledgment of the current economic landscape, please bring ONE BOTTLE PER PERSONofCalifornia Pinot Noir that retails for $30 or less.Please also bring ONE POTLUCK DISH PER PERSON/COUPLE, along with serving utensils, to contribute towards a good meal for everyone. We will provide the plates, napkins, etc..Timetable:5:30 - 6:00 Arrival/check in6:00 - 7:15 Tasting, socializing & eating7:15 - 7:30 Scoring7:30 - 8:00Results announced & further schmoozingOur group is getting the attention of the wine industry and many doors are being opened due to our group's profile and market demographics.
