MAD TV’S ARIES SPEARS TO HEADLINE AT COMIX!

NEW YORK, NY – The hilarious Aries Spears of MAD TV kicks off Black History Month at Comix with four headlining shows Feb 1st and 2nd.
A former principal cast member on Fox's MAD TV, Spears is known for his roles as Mother Love, The Klump Family, El Diablo Negro and Talkin' American as well as his impersonations of James Brown, Al Pacino, and his childhood idol Eddie Murphy. His sketch, Talkin' American was Mad TV's most popular bit keeping fans tuned in, and boosting ratings.
Aries has starred in the feature films Out Of Sync, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, The Pest and delivered his most notable performance to date as Cuba Gooding Jr's brother in the blockbuster hit Jerry Maguire. Additionally, Aries is a regular on The Best Damn Sport’s Show Period and has appeared on Def Comedy Jam and Showtime at the Apollo as well as many talk shows including; Loveline, Vibe, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Soul Train, Friday Night.

He is currently developing a feature based on an original character that he created on MAD TV as well as a thriller about a young black man immersed in hip-hop culture. Don’t miss the chance to catch this talented comedian on the Comix stage!
