Boston, Massachusetts

With 170 albums to his credit & 30 years in the business, Mad Professor is a godfather of the ever-popular dub style of instrumental Reggae (featuring unusual mixes and special effects), often including, or "underneath" exceptional vocalists.

Boston is rarely treated (these days) with such a 'high-ranking' member of the Reggae roll call: the Professor's produced many of the genre's greats, including Sly & Robbie, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Horace Andy (and many more),

Mixing right from stage center, with tracks new and old, this engineering wizard takes you through the whole history of his journey with this music.

Traveling with Mad Professor will be a legend in her own right: Susan Cadogan (voicing over rhythms) and Strong Tree Sound, selecting earlier in the night with a most unusual (and powerful) mix of dub & UK reggae the likes of which you haven't heard since DubRise FM aired on WZBC some years ago.

As an extra bonus, we're proud to announce this show as the 2nd in our "WERS welcomes..." series, of which there will be more to come, and to which we will be excited to welcome many WERS fans & friends alike!
