Macy’s Hosts Annual Community Shopping Day
Customers donate $10 to local charities and receive special Macy’s savings pass
Macy’s annual “Community Shopping Day” charity shopping event has raised more than $5 million for local charities since 2004. Macy's is currently accepting charities for participation, for more information and applications visit www.macys.com/csd or 800-251-1431. Macy’s donates shopping passes to participating charities. The shopping passes are then sold by the charitable organizations for $10 each in the weeks leading up to the event. The organizations keep 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the shopping pass. Pass holders can redeem their passes at select Macy’s stores on Saturday, November 12, 2011 to receive 10-20 percent off their purchase (exclusions apply, see actual pass for rules) plus 10 dollars off the first purchase of 25 dollars or more.
Shopping passes are also sold at Macy’s stores starting on October 31 through November 12, 2011. One hundred percent of the proceeds
from the sale of the pass benefits designated local charities.
