Mablean Ephriam Foundation Honoring Unsung Fathers and Scholarship Brunch June 21, 2009

The H.U.F. Awards is the brainchild of Judge Mablean Ephriam, former Divorce Court TV Host. She established this event to bring attention and recognition to everyday fathers who maintain a lifestyle that exemplifies love towards their spouses, children, family and community.

A total of eight (8) awards will be presented during the brunch program to a single father (Solo Warrior), married father (Love Cares), divorced father (Fatherhood Forever), non-biological father (Village Dad) and a senior father (Living Legacy). In addition to these awards, Judge Mablean will present Founder’s Award and Board of Directors’ Award to a father of her choice who epitomizes the essence of these awards as well as the Board of Directors.

In addition to the Father’s Day Awards, the foundation will giveaway a total of twenty-three (23) scholarships to students from the Greater Los Angeles Area on the day of the event. Three (3) will be awarded to 2009 high school graduates and two (2) to continuing college students between the ages of 19-35 who quit college, but have now returned. Each scholarship applicants will receive a book fee award.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to extend love to these remarkable men and dispel the myth that fathers are not nurturers as well as providers,” says Judge Mablean.
