Lyric Opera of Chicago: Cosi Fan Tutte February 12, 2007

"No way," blusters a cynical old bachelor. In fact, he's willing to bet on it, and does -- baiting two young soldiers who are certain their fiancees will remain true, no matter what! So, with help from a mercenary (but cute!) maid, the three men cook up capers that put the ladies to the fidelity test. Mozart does it again -- creating a masterpiece where comedy cozies right up to a human calamity just waiting to happen. 'Cosi fan Tutte' is performed in Italian with projected English titles.
