An evening with Fence Magazine Fiction Editor and National Book Critics Circle Award finalist Lynne Tillman reading from and signing her magnificent, critically acclaimed new novel, American Genius, A Comedy published by Soft Skull Press. Among Tillman's invited guests will be brilliant downtown bassist David Hofstra, whose beautifully intuitive bass playing has graced performances by Marc Ribot, Elliot Sharp, and John Zorn and enigmatic vocalist/accordionist/performer Rachelle Garniez, whose adventurous musical spirit has taken her everywhere from the stage of Joe's Pub to jamming with gypsies in Spain.
