The world is invited to another exciting encore performance of the popular multi-media production — Luscious Noise featuring members of the San Diego Symphony. Due to popular demand, conductor/producer John Stubbs has created a special abridged edition of the production: Luscious Noise "The Greatest Hits." The program features audience favorites from the past four productions.

One popular piece from the November 2009 production was Debussy's "Syrinx," performed by flutist Demarre McGill. To oblige fans, McGill has been asked to perform this magnificent piece once more on July 25.

Other music selections will include: Tchaikovsky's "Serenade" ~ 1st and 4th movements, Schreker's "Intermezzo," Grieg's "Holberg Suite" ~ first movement and "Air and Rigaudon," and Chopin's "Funeral March."

Performance footage will include: Natalie Dessay singing the Doll Song from "Tales of Hoffmann," "Lonely House" from Kurt Weill's opera "Street Scene," Lyon National Opera Ballet's "Cinderella," and Jiří Kylián's dance piece "Petite Mort."

Film excerpts will include: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with young Mickey Rooney and "The Third Man" with Joseph Cotten.

All ages welcome. Call 619.595.0300.
