A place to celebrate the Indian holiday season, dance to Bollywood, and participate in raas/garba, this is in honor of the Anamika-Navatman Project, an organization for the formation of a South Asian arts conservatory in Manhattan.

The Indian holiday season is starting up, and everyone is itching to dance the night away in festive conviviality. The excitement is inescapable, as whispers of where one will be headed and exactly how to do the 12-step raas are discussed. So, with a tip of its hat to the vibrant and joyous folk dances of India, Navatman will be providing a venue to do just that. Never danced to Indian music before? No problem - there will be dancers galore waiting to teach you the popular steps of folk dance, and the night will continue on with traditional folk music mixed with the newest smash hits of Bollywood. So, dust off those dandiyas and come join the celebration!
Tickets: $25 -- www.navatman.org/tickets
Includes open bar, dinner, dandiyas, and, of course, dancing!
