jcpenney to chop and hand out free firewood at local store as part of jcp Holiday Giving tour

In front of the jcpenney at the Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne, PA, handsome, burly, flannel-wearing lumberjacks will arrive in trucks and begin to chop and gift wrap complimentary firewood for guests on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. jcpenney will also be handing out hundreds of thousands of buttons redeemable for exciting gifts with no purchase necessary.
Additionally, through its charitable giving program, jcp cares, from Nov. 23-Dec. 31 jcpenney will invite customers to round up their store purchases to the nearest whole dollar to donate to Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. With more than 25,000 red kettles at store fronts and shopping malls nationwide, this annual fundraiser helps to provide meals, clothing and toys to families who need it most.
