You will often find Luke in a charcoal vest, slightly kept beard, displaying a quiet intensity. It's the sweet calm before the emotional storm. The passion and immediacy behind Luke's music is evident in his 3 independent releases since February 2009. Emotional and poetic lyrics about the inspirations in his life are sewn together throughout his songs.

This steady flow of genuine music has increased his visibility and earned him comparisons to such notable acts as Ryan Adams, Joe Purdy, Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne. Like most emerging musicians, Luke has led several lives - first as a ballplayer and then as a history teacher. But unable to escape the music, Luke started writing down all those 'ghost songs' swirling in his head.

Luke's captive live shows open the listener's heart and soul to a voice familiar but unique. There is a passion behind Luke's songs that have to be witnessed in person. Occasionally, Luke sings without a microphone in front of sold out audiences because there is no better way to express the feelings of hope, love and loss. Intimate and moving stories revealing a believer chasing his dreams.

In just a year of live performances, Luke has sold out shows under his belt, performed with David Dondero, Butterfly Boucher, David Mead and Rachel Loy and released his highly anticipated 3rd album, "Love, Laura and the Bomb". A forthcoming double-album is underway and an extensive touring schedule lies ahead in 2011.

Joel Pomerantz of the Songwriters Association of Washington has described singer/songwriter Alexe Colbus as having a "pure, mature voice and clever songwriting skills." Colbus has had music in her blood since the day she was born. After putting on a show in her cul-de-sac at five years old singing "Big Spender" it was evident the stage was her second home and that she was born to perform.

She flourished in elementary school talent shows, graduated to talent competitions in high school, and quickly became identified as the "girl who sang the National Anthem" at various high school sporting events. Singing the National Anthem also led her to perform at George Mason's Patriot Center in front of over 6,000 people but Colbus had more to offer than just a voice. At the age of fourteen she started to teach herself the piano and in just two years time she had taught herself enough to start writing songs.

She signed with the independent record label, New Indie Artists, in March of 2006 and since then has performed at local venues such as Jammin' Java and Bangkok Blues, and in several venues in New York City. She is currently in the studio working on new material for a second album.
