Luke Doucet is performing in support of his new album Broken (and other rogue states) out on Six Shooter Records. Described by Chart Magazine as a hybrid of the Old 97s and rootsier country rock and by Toronto Star as arguably the best young guitarist in the country, Luke Doucet plays a form of country verite thats equal parts singer-songwriter and alt-country leaning indie rock. Take Its Not the Liquor I Miss, a mid-tempo folk-rock piece replete with strings, handclaps, and 60s-style female backing vocals.
