Emerging from the Greenwich Village folk scene, Lucy Kaplansky made her mark singing and recording with such artists as Shawn Colvin and Suzanne Vega. Singer/songwriter Richard Shindell is an eclectic performer. His material ranges from lighthearted ballads and adulterous love songs, to dirges and diatribes that skillfully skewer politics, prejudice, war and religion.
