The Libertarian Party of Iowa annual convention will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Location
The Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston, IA. has been chosen as the site of the convention. Directions: from I-80/35 go north on 86th St. one block and turn left. You're there!

Registration
$25 paid in advance (must be received by 3-12-2008). $35.00 at the door.

Schedule
9:00 a.m. - Noon: Information from most of those seeking the LP nomination to be Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates. Discussions on running for office, influencing office holders and legislation, a preview of our 2008 presidential nominating convention to be held May 2008 in Denver, and free time to socialize.

11:00 a.m. - Noon: Straw Poll of LP Presidential and Vice Presidential contenders.

Noon - 1:00 p.m.: Catered Lunch.

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - General business meeting: free to all Voting (dues paid) members - others may observe, just not vote. Agenda will include, among other items, selection of Delegates to National LP Convention. And, although LPIA has no official role, we'll select an informal "delegation" to Heartland (Mo.-Ks.) LP Convention.

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: LPIA Executive Committee Meeting. Open to all Voting members.

5:00 p.m. - ?: Social activities, arising spontaneously. There are a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within a couple blocks of the Hilton Garden Inn.
