Loverboy, one of the hottest rock bands will be performing in a benefit concert for the Maple Youth Ballet on Sunday, March 1st at the fabulous House of Blues at Downtown Disney in Anaheim!
Formed in 1980 in Calgary, Alberta, Loverboy became one the best-selling rock bands in North America, rolling out numerous hit songs including The Kid Is Hot Tonight, Turn Me Loose, Working for the Weekend, When It's Over, Queen of the Broken Hearts, Heaven in Your Eyes, and Notorious. They have produced four multi-platinum albums and international sales of their first five albums has exceeded 14 million. Loverboy's reign as MTV darlings during the 1980s influenced an entire generation of rock fans with their trademark image and live-energy shows.
Several of the band's singles have been used in television and movies including the singles Heaven In Your Eyes in the movie Top Gun; Working for the Weekend, heard on the T.V. show Saturday Night Live and in the movie Zoolander; and Turn Me Loose in the movie Crank (2006).
The Maple Youth Ballet is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
