The American silent-film actress Louise Brooks is one of the great female icons in the history of cinema. She embodied the Weimar-era ideal of the New Woman, which connoted political equality, free-spiritedness, and gender ambiguity. Drawing on the George Eastman House's vast Louise Brooks archive, this exhibition will celebrate the hundredth anniversary of her birth.
