The Ancient Greeks banned it, but we’re playing it anyway!

The Lost Sport of Olympia is a blindfolded labyrinth race, played in ancient times, and then mysteriously banned in 600 BC.

In 2008 AD, the rules of the lost sport have been rediscovered – and now, this summer, teams are training all over the world, from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, Paris to San Francisco, Sao Paulo to London, Singapore to Wellington, New Zealand. Each city hopes to master the game, and to become the world champions of the lost sport!

Now, for the first time in history, the game will be played in Vienna.

Join us in Stadtpark (we're meeting on the Stadtparksteg), Saturday July 5 to discover the secrets of the Lost Sport. It’s free, and it’s easy to learn. Come alone, or come with friends – we’ll put you on a team, and teach you how to play!

WHEN: Saturday 5 July 2008, meet at 15:00, start playing at 15:30

WHERE: Meet on Stadtparksteg, the bridge in Stadtpark that crosses the Weinfluss

Arrive between 15:00 and 15:30 to find out your ancient strength, and to learn secret strategies for the lost sport.

From 15:30 to 16:30, we’ll play the Lost Sport at a secret location nearby. You must arrive by 15:30 to follow us to the secret location! (But if you’re late and have sharp eyes, you might be able to spot us playing nearby…)

WHO: Everyone! All ages and all athletic abilities are welcome. You don’t have to be naturally athletic to be good at this game. It mostly requires trust, collaboration, listening, and most importantly courage!
