The Boxcars are nothing less than a bluegrass supergroup, the cream of the crop drawn from some of the top touring bands of the last few years. Mandolinist Adam Steffey is well known to Michigan audiences from his stints with Alison Krauss & Union Station, Mountain Heart, and the Dan Tyminski Band. He's a great entertainer and a great musician with a gift for drawing out the best in his bandmates. He's joined by Ron Stewart (J.D. Crowe & The New South, the Dan Tyminski Band) on banjo, John Bowman (J.D. Crowe, the Isaacs) on fiddle, Keith Garrett (Blue Moon Rising) on guitar, and Harold Nixon (J.D. Crowe, Blue Moon Rising) on bass. This band has it all -- brilliant musicianship, multiple lead vocalists, and strong original songwriting from Garrett and Stewart. Says Adam Steffey: "I'm as excited about this band as anything I've ever done, both musically and personally, and I can't wait to get in the studio and on the road!"
