Cutting edge video technology meets classic hand-drawn illustration in a new production of Oliver Knussen's rambunctious fantasy opera setting of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. Ravel was an influence on the young Knussen, and Gustavo Dudamel pairs Where the Wild Things Are with Ravel's equally colorful and evocative Mother Goose fairy tales, which also receive video treatment from British director Netia Jones.
