THE LARGEST LATINO BOOK AND FAMILY FESTIVAL OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY.

Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, LA-LBFF continues the tradition of bringing together authors, booksellers, cultural entertainment and other vendors to create an eclectic family atmosphere of fun and appreciation of reading books. The Festival is open to the public from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday and from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.

Concluding the celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month in Southern California, the Los Angeles regional competition of Folklorico Challenge USA will take place as part of the programming of the Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival. The selected winning teams will compete in the National finals of Folklorico Challenge USA in 2007.

Authors scheduled to participate span a variety of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, romance, mystery and children's books; they will be signing their books and interacting with the event attendees. Book lovers from around Southern California will have an exceptional opportunity to show their support for authors from around the country. Among the authors scheduled to appear are: Tommy Chong, Ruben Navarrette Jr., Yasmin Davidds, Mabel Katz, Reyna Grande, Al Martinez, Lara Rios, Art Rodriguez, Maria Ercilla , Maria Enriquez, Jorge Argueta and Sam Quinones, among others.

Entertainers lined up for this weekend family event include Mariachi signer Ricardo Luque, the Bolero Kings, Cynthis Castro, Chuyin Rocha, Cantamerica Music and 15 year old signing sensation Tanya Mackenna.
