Los Angeles County Walk to Defeat ALS October 25, 2009

The ALS Association, Greater Los Angeles Chapter is hosting its national signature event, Walk to Defeat ALS this fall. This sensational walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, and are expected to raise support and awareness for the plight of persons with ALS, " Lou Gehrig Disease."

The ALS Association, Greater Los Angeles Chapter, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with ALS and their families. ALS is a disease of the nervous system, characterized by muscle wasting, paralysis, speech loss and inability to swallow or breathe. The chapter provides vital services to ALS patients in our community, which include counseling, loans of durable medical equipment and communication devices, caregiver support, and research.
