Lone Star Youth Orchestra to perform with Garland Symphony February 18, 2011

The Garland Symphony Orchestra takes great pride in presenting 20 audition selected members of its Lone Star Youth Orchestra in its yearly tradition of the “Side by Side” performance on Friday, February 18, 2011. This year the selected musicians will join the GSO in performing Sibelius’ Spring Song. Rehearsing and performing with the GSO allows students to experience the highest level of musical education. Each season these young musicians compete for the highest seating placement in their section and the honor to participate in this concert event. This event is an incredible learning experience for these young musicians and a great way to showcase the young talent in Garland and the surrounding communities.
