SHENPEN UK is delighted to announce a week of celebration of Tibetan art and wisdom devoted to peace and healing in the heart of the city. For the first time ever monks from Dzogchen Monastery, Tibet, are creating a sacred sand mandala, an ancient art dedicated to removing obstacles and promoting harmony and healing, for the city of London, in these turbulent times.

The completed sand mandala will be carried down to the river Thames on Sunday 8th April at 4pm for a prayer ceremony dedicated to peace within the city. Local dignitaries and MP’s have been invited to take part in the ceremony. It will be an excellent photo opportunity.

This historic event will be accompanied by an exhibition of sacred Tibetan thangkas, of the ancient Dzogchen Lineage, displayed for the first time in the west. It is a wonderful opportunity to see a priceless collection of traditional art whilst promoting peace within the city.

His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, one of the highest Lamas in the Tibetan tradition will be giving a public talk and a Medicine Buddha Empowerment over the Easter weekend. His Eminence was recognised as a young boy by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche is available from April 2nd- 8th for interviews. His Eminence is happy to talk about a variety of subjects that relate to his spiritual life and charitable work. His Eminence teachings often focus on practical application of ancient wisdom in modern times, and His Eminence is willing to discuss many topics prevalent in modern life, including how to bring peace to the city of London.

The event is organised by SHENPEN UK which is part of the international, registered charity founded by His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo, to preserve the ancient spiritual heritage of Dzogchen monastery and support his many practical projects in healthcare, education and development in the Dhondenling Tibetan refugee settlement in South India.
