91 Brick Lane
London, England E1 6QL

Adornment, sign of devotion, rite of passage — whatever its purpose, the ancient art of the tattoo remains ubiquitous globally, and London celebrates the craft at the Old Truman Brewery for the second year running. Attractions include anthropological exhibitions of tattoo art such as The Living Art of Pacific Tattoo, as well as an entire gallery devoted to the Japanese master Horiyoshi III. On the lighter side, some 150 tattoo artists attend with their sketch books, as do burlesque dancer Sabina Kelley, international DJs, circus freaks, Milan-based bellydancers Les Soeurs Tribales and those naughty Suicide Girls.
