Sense of Play is a symposium and Masters Student Showcase co-sponsored by the University College for the Creative Arts. The event promotes lively debate on the nature of game design: what it means to different people – both inside and outside the industry. Focusing on the creative and cultural dimensions, Sense of Play examines game design as both a discipline and craft, offering different perspectives on its current and future possibilities.

The event features world renowned game designers, commentators, and the UK’s foremost educators looking to develop tomorrow’s visionaries and equip emerging talent to square up to the considerable challenges they face as the industry evolves.

Co-Produced by University College for the Creative Arts and Pixel-Lab

The symposium is followed by a content showcase featuring work from the MA Digital Games Design programme at the University College for the Creative Arts, Farnham and other students from postgraduate-games-design related courses from various other institutions.
