Lola Perrin: Piano July 9, 2011

Composer pianist Lola Perrin returns to Coleford Festival of Words with a programme of her original compositions to complement Joan Gabie’s exhibition installed in the upstairs gallery.

Gabie's exhibition of drawings were made from email descriptions received from her husband Neville Gabie when he was artist in residence at an Antarctic Survey Station.

The centre piece of the concert is Startpiece: a collaboration for piano and pre- recorded spoken word with composer Alexis Kirke, featuring the voices of John Humphrys in conversation with Princeton geologist Adam Maloof about his remarkable fossil find from snowball earth and what this means for our origins.
