The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is signing an MoU with the Steel Authority of India Limited for the "preservation, conservation and maintenance" of the Lodhi-period monuments here. An amount of Rs 1 crore will come from the deal and be used to give some much-required uplift to Sikandar Lodhi's tomb, Sheesh Gumbad, Bada Gumbad, Mohammad Shah's tomb and Athpula, the last of the few Akbar period buildings in Delhi.
