LOCANDA DEL LAGO IS
"BURSTING WITH BUBBLES" FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE

Locanda del Lago in Santa Monica presents a "Bursting with Bubbles" New
Year's Eve celebration starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009,
with an extraordinary five-course menu, dancing, bubbly (including choice of
all-you-can-drink Taittinger Champagne) and festivities through midnight.
The popular Santa Monica restaurant is known for its unique menu, which
spotlights the cuisine of Bellagio on Lake Como in Northern Italy.

Chef Roberto Maggioni's bountiful New Year's Eve menu begins with baked
lobster medallion with champagne butter, rhubarb confit and micro arugula
salad, followed by housemade agnolotti stuffed with venison brasato, lentil,
brown butter-sage sauce and tuscan pecorino shavings. Main courses are wild
North American white sturgeon with luna oyster sauce, glazed baby carrots
and potato pyramid, and roasted buffalo filet mignon with white truffle
foam, asparagus and Pinot Noir poached egg. Topping off the dinner is
chocolate-strawberry mousse with grappa cream.

The entire party is $79.00 per person with a complimentary glass of
Champagne or $119.00 per person with all-you-can-drink Taittinger Champagne.
Tax and gratuity are additional. Advance reservations for the evening are
required with a credit card guarantee.

A limited a la carte dinner menu will be available from 4 to 8 p.m., and
Lago will be open on New Year's Day at 5 p.m.
