The "Advanced Lobbying 201" course is for graduates of "Lobbying 101" or for people with a significant amount of lobbying experience. Completion of "Lobbying 101" is not, however, a prerequisite for enrollment.

This seminar builds on principles taught in the introductory class. Capitol Seminars founder Ray LeBov, a veteran of 37 years working in and with the California Legislature, conducts the seminar along with guest subject matter experts in the specialized areas of budget advocacy, lobbying the administration, regulatory agency advocacy, and media strategies.

The "Advanced Lobbying" seminar provides real-world insights into, and best practices for, the four critical areas of advocacy listed above. The seminar is designed not only for experienced lobbyists and their support staff, but other government and public affairs professionals from cities, counties and public agencies; organizations that engage lobbyists; law firms; trade and professional associations; and nonprofit and public interest organizations.

Many organizations and public agencies send all their new staff to Capitol Seminars for training.
