Living Water International Gala Set for October 19 at Intercontinental Hotel

Money raised at ninth annual gala will help provide relief for over 1.1 billion people without access to safe drinking water

WHO

Houston-based Living Water International (LWI) is an inter-denominational Christian ministry committed to helping communities in the developing world acquire safe drinking water. LWI was founded in 1990 when several businessmen from Houston traveled to East Africa and became aware of the overwhelming need for safe drinking water.

Today, LWI maintains ongoing operations in 25 countries and has completed more than 4,200 water projects, serving over 6 million people daily. LWI has also trained more than 700 volunteers who have implemented water solutions in 60 countries.

WHAT

Living Water International is holding its ninth annual Gala on Friday, October 19, 2007, in the Grand Ballroom of Houston’s Intercontinental Hotel. This year’s event is chaired by Joe and Hollis Bullard. Last year’s event raised a record $1.5 million, more than twice the amount raised at any previous gala.

For more information on the gala, contact Sharon Evans at 1-877-594-4426 or email at [email protected].

WHY

Water is life. There are many things that we need in this world to survive, but few are as crucial. Consider the fact that the people who are without access to clean water also live on less than a dollar a day and have had the least exposure to the gospel of Jesus Christ. By giving to Living Water International, not only will you help the most impoverished physically, but also spiritually.
