Living History Tours September 27, 2008

Tour the Historic House, once the summer estate of William K. Vanderbilt II, with guides interpreting the roles of his family, friends and employees. Visitors may meet Mr. Vanderbilt's mother-in-law in the living room or bump into several interesting guests, including Dorothy Parker, Conde Nast and Sam Snead as they walk through the 24 room mansion. The cook, working in the kitchen furnished with vintage appliances and Depression Glass, willingly shares her views and recipes with anyone who enters her domain. The Living History Tour will take visitors back to 1936.
