On Wednesday, June 13th, UpStairs on the Square will lower the beams of the Monday Club’s cutting edge chandeliers and transform into a cool candle-lit pink and purple jazz club. Our frineds Gypsy Schaeffer will provide the hot jazz and there is no cover charge if you join us for dinner. The evening is designed to highlight the new, the fresh and the improvisational, both in music and in food and drink.

Bar Manager Augusto Lino, who has designed this event, has an obsession with all things fresh, and he will be shaking and stirring both classic and modern cocktails with a focus on great fresh and organic ingredients. His special menu of avant garde cocktails tailored for Jazz Night will be created with all freshly squeezed juices, organic spirits and our house-made garnishes and liqueurs. Among the featured beverages will be our own Limoncello made with Meyer lemons and a Dark-and-Stormy shaken with our own house-made ginger beer. If you hanker for rye or bourbon, our famous organic house marinated maraschino cherries will flavor your Manhattan.

Chef Steve Brand and his staff have entered into the mood by creating an improvisational menu of small plates and dinner items Pastry Chef Emily Wholey will complete the evening with her home-style desserts, in which she’ll use her father’s fresh tapped maple syrup. (Growing up on a farm has kept Emily close to the source!)
