About Barefaced Liar: Formed in 2002, Barefaced Liar is an amalgamation of the distinct and eclectic musical taste of its members, Akshay Chowdhry (Vocals, Guitars), Sumant Balakrishnan (Guitars,Vocals) and Dushyant Purohit (Bass, Guitars), Tushar Vig (Drums). The band is heavily influenced by all time classic sounds of bands and artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Metallica while leaning towards a more modern sound in the style of Tool, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots etc. This combination of influences backed by a loaded blues driven guitar style that developed over the years lead to a unique east-west dynamic that has translated into complete and relevant songwriting on an international level.
