Little Shop of Horrors April 30, 2010

On the 21st day of the month of September, in an early year of a decade not too long before our own, the human race suddenly encountered a deadly threat to its very existence. And this terrifying enemy surfaced, as such enemies often do, in the seemingly most innocent and unlikely of places. Reset in our native city of Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour Krelborn, a loveable guy who will do anything to get out of where he is, as he makes the acquaintance of a strange and unusual plant with a terrifying appetite. As Seymour, his boss Mr. Mushnik, and his unrequited love Audrey see their lives improve they are ecstatic and eager to fuel their continued success. But they quickly find out what the cost can be of achieving your dreams. A trio of street urchins, a sadistic dentist, one large man-eating plant and the other residents of Skid Row drive our story as we watch the American dream go horribly wrong. Featuring music from song writing duo Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, who also brought us such classics as "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Little Mermaid", and based on the 1960s film of the same name, Little Shop of Horrors is going to be a gritty, flashy, and fun production for the entire family!
