Little Italy
San Diego, California

The Little Italy neighborhood continues to celebrate its heritage in bringing the passion, vibrancy and flavors of Italy to San Diego with its yearly treasured event, FESTA! Organized and operated by The Little Italy Association (LIA), more than 150 vendors will attract 120,000 attendees with the tantalizing smells of Italian sausage, creative chalk drawn masterpieces, and the glamour of the Italian culture, music & art. In its 16th year, the FESTA! has become fondly known as the largest single-day Italian American festival outside of New York.

Special highlights for attendees to look forward to:
• Wine and DINING! Buon Appetito! All local restaurants will be open to serve the taste buds with their best Italian cuisine - With everything from hand-made pastas and pizzas to fresh-filled Cannolis and gelato. Because nothing pairs better with good Italian food than great wine and beer, this year’s beer and wine garden will be a fun place for visitors to mix and mingle.
• All-Day ENTERTAINMENT! Two entertainment stages and one street-side stage will feature an array of talented musicians and performers throughout the day.
• Italian-inspired FUN & SPORTS! This year the competition is fierce with the finest four teams on the West Coast battling to be crowned the FESTA! Stickball champions. Other fun includes a Cannoli eating competition; raffle prizes; and an interactive children’s area.
• Authentic Chalk ART Contest! In celebration of Italian art from the Old World, artists will paint the streets with chalk, providing an interactive opportunity for attendees to see traditional Gesso Italiano Chalk Painting come to life underneath their feet.
