Akashic Books authors Joe Meno (Office Girl) and Nathan Larson (The Nervous System), and San Francisco's own Joshua Mohr (Damascus) appear at Litquake's July Epicenter.

About the Authors

Joe Meno is a playwright and fiction writer, and author of six novels, including Hairstyles of the Damned and his newest, Office Girl. He is recipient of a Nelson Algren Literary Award and a Pushcart Prize, and teaches in the Fiction Writing Department at Columbia College Chicago.

Nathan Larson is an author, guitarist, and award-winning film music composer, creating scores for over 30 movies, including Boys Don't Cry and Margin Call. His newest novel, The Nervous System, is the second in a series of Dewey Decimal detective fiction. He lives in Harlem, New York City, with his wife and son.

Joshua Mohr is a creative writing teacher, and author of three bestselling novels: Some Songs That Meant the World to Me, Termite Parade, and his latest, Damascus, which The New York Times called "Beat-poet cool...Mohr nails the atmosphere of a San Francisco still breathing in the smoke that lingers from the days of Jim Jones and Dan White, a time when passionate ideologies and personal dysfunction intermingled and combusted."

About the Epicenter
