Lissie is a small-town girl gone California folk-rocker – she grew up in Rock Island, IL, before moving to Hollywood a few years ago. Her stripped down stage presence, just her with a guitar and her stomping bare feet, hints at her roots, and she has an everygirl, no makeup needed look that fits her sound. But don't let her laid-back feel fool you--her lyrics are smart, sassy and endearing in a loveable-troublemaker sort of way, and her melodic songs perfectly complement their aggressive streak while showing off her powerful cigarette smoke infused voice.
Lissie has toured with Badly Drawn Boy and opened for Lenny Kravitz on his Love Revolution tour all across the country. She's been working mostly in Nashville on her anticipated Columbia UK debut album that maintains her roots rock vibe. Lissie's songs have been featured on The OC, Veronica Mars, House, Wildfire, Who Killed he Electric Car and Dream it Loud, and most recently the Remix of "The Longest Road", a song she sang lead vocals on and co-wrote with Morgan Page, was nominated for a GRAMMY.
