As a reputed band of hardcore/New metal, Liquid Oxygen Can has successfully puts various percussion elements into their music with their never used up energy and enthusiasm.

Today, they become an indispensable pioneer in Chinese heavy metal history. This is the unique formula of the Liquid Oxygen Can: 25% of heavy metal, 25% of neo metal, 25% of percussion, 10% of hip-hop, 10% of folk, and 5% of other elements.

Once talking about Liquid Oxygen, their unique and special percussion arrangement is always the first thing to be mentioned. With instruments like the enormous Chinese big drum, empty petrol barrel and beer gauge, the band manages to create a rhythm that is loud and strong enough to stimulate the ears! While the beats and melody comes together to provide a vigorous atmosphere. The live performance of Liquid Oxygen Can is always attractive and they are always able drive the audiences’ emotions.

The band started to draw media’s attention in 2001, since their first concert in Beijing. In 2003, they finished their tour in the southwest. In 2005, the lineup of band member became stable finally. The live performances of the new band has made them well reputed and at the same time gaining more and more admirers. In the same year, the band released their first album. It records the underground youth movement and it is also a biography of the band. The album includes most of their classics since their formation. Like a wild animal with plenty of scars, Liquid Oxygen Can expresses the hopeless and angriness emotions, as well as their personal feelings in most of the songs in this album. In April 2007, the band released their first DVD. In November of the same year, the band participated in an unplugged concert. This is an important event that has another meaning: the first unplugged concert of a neo metal band in Chinese history! During the concert, the band played many of their classics with a new interpretation and elements; and the band had successfully enriched their music by duo percussion.

Times flies, 7 years already passed. Things has been changing, but Liquid Oxygen Can is always here, working on their own music and striking for making the best.
