Linux Installfest at the University of Alberta September 16, 2005

Liberating Students Digtally, a student group at the University of Alberta, will be holding their second annual Fall Installfest on September 16 and 17 in the Athletics Lounge, located in the middle of HUB Mall. Installs will take place between 9AM and 5PM on both days.

If you've ever wanted to try Linux or other open source software, but don't want to install it yourself, this is your opportunity to have experienced Linux users install and configure open-source software on your computer minimizing your risk and effort. All you need to bring is your computer (tower only - we supply monitors, keyboards, mice and speakers) and a willingness to try something new. The event will also feature a number of demo computers and displays for anyone interested to learn more about Linux and open source software in general.
