A stellar lineup of musicians will be playing in support of Linda Tillery, who is facing significant medical expenses, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley.

The evening will include performances by Keith Terry, Tuck and Patti, Rebecca Mauleon, Wayne Wallace, Molly Holm, Faye Carol, and the Ray Obiedo Group, featuring members of the Santana Band. This fundraising celebration will take place on Tuesday, June 12, at the Freight and Salvage, 2020 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA, at 8 pm. Tickets are $44 in advance and $46 at the door.

At this point in her life and in her career, Linda is facing a series of orthopedic surgeries that will take time to recover from and will drain her financial resources. Her friends and musical colleagues have enthusiastically joined this effort to support independent musician Tillery's "New Knee Fund."

Linda is a San Francisco native and has had a 43-year career as a vocalist, percussionist, producer, and cultural historian. She's had a hand in the rock and soul scene, the women's music movement, jazz, and latin jazz. And her musical associations include Wilson Pickett, Bobby McFerrin, Ray Obiedo, Vicki Randle, Holly Near, the E. Family, John Santos, Boz Scaggs, and Taj Mahal, among others. Linda and her Cultural Heritage Choir have been around the world several times during their 20-year run.

For those that cannot attend but would still like to contribute, please make checks payable directly to Linda Tillery (New Knee Fund) and send them to Linda Tillery, P.O. Box 11195, Oakland, CA 94611.
