In this smart comedy set in the early 1970's, Felix, his wife Mireille, and their two children, Eric and Michel, leave Israel for Marseille. Times are tough for Felix's French-Jewish family. With dreams of grandeur, Felix meets Serge, a Jewish gangster who invites Felix to join his gang. Director Marco Carmel splendidly blurs the line between truth and fantasy and links the personal history of the Maimon family with the events marking the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at the high point of the Yom Kippur War.
