Light up the smiles for disadvantaged children with JoomSeller! August 9, 2011

The Mid-autumn festival – which is held annually on August 15th lunar calendar, is a full-moon day and also a traditional cultural event in Vietnam as well as in some other East Asian countries like China, Korea, Japan, etc. Particularly in Vietnam, this is a holiday with full of national identities. Above all, it’s a holiday for children in the whole country. In this day, children will have opportunity to play traditional games such as parading roads by roads with 5-pointed star shaped lanterns, party to wait for the full moon, eating traditional moon cakes together.

However, not all children have the luck of having such Mid-autumn. Vietnam is a developing country, however, the rate of disadvantaged children like the poor, orphan children, is till high (6% of total population – figure by Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, 2010).

With the aim of giving a hand to create a meaningful Mid-autumn festival for disadvantaged children, to make a beautiful and warm memory in their mind, we – JoomSeller Solutions, decided to make an event of Mid-autumn festival. We wish to collect all supports from our beloved customers and together we will make the event successful.

Method for supporting the event is very simple: when buying each of our products at our site http://joomseller.com , there will be 20% of the money from selling that product extracted to donate for children. This amount of money collected from every customer’s orders will be sent to the Volunteer Group “Vietnamese Youth” (you can visit them at this website: http://www.nguoiviettre.org.vn/). This is a volunteer group working to help and support Vietnamese children. With the Group, we will celebrate a meaningful and warm Mid-autumn festival for the poor, orphan and other disadvantaged children in Hanoi.
