ENFIELD—Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Charles Kenny, MD, author of the book “Natural Flexibility”, will be special guest at a workshop on Tuesday, October 20th. The workshop will be held at the Enfield Tennis Club from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM and is open to the public. There is no fee to attend.

Dr. Kenny will present information on Natural Flexibility—a new risk-free alternative to stretching. “Many people do not know that some traditional stretching can actually hurt you”, he said. Dr. Kenny teaches natural flexibility to dedicated athletes, dancers, trainers and coaches. “Natural Flexibility is for anyone who strives to improve fitness and performance, “he said.

Dr. Kenny and Rick Hall, LMT from LifeTouch Massage, Enfield, will also demonstrate for attendees Natural Flexibility techniques that increase strength, flexibility and balance. Hall has been working with clients using Natural Flexibility techniques in his practice. He said, “Clients are reporting solid results in greater flexibility.” They also indicate that recovery time from intense physical activity is shorter. “I feel it is time to share this new information with the community.” Natural Flexibility exercises require no special equipment. The exercises help with rehabilitation from injury, neck and back pain, and to enhance a specific sport or fitness activity, Hall added.

Dr. Kenny attended Cornell University and New York Medical College. A diplomat at the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he received his surgical training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Kenny holds two U.S. surgical patents, has been published in several journals, and is currently in private practice in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
