This course is for current lifegaurds needing to renew their certificaiton in American Red Cross Lifegaurd Training/First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. This is a shortened version of the Lifegaurd Training course. Current or not expired more than a year CPR for the Professional Rescuer and LIfegaurding certificates are REQUIRED, and both certificates must be presented at the first class meeting. Successful participants will receive a Lifegaurding and First Aid certification valid for three years and CPR for the Professional Rescuer valid for one year.

Prerequisites:
1. Must be 15 years old. BRING PROOF OF AGE TO FIRST CLASS
2. Swim 300 continuously (consisting of front crawl and breaststroke)
3.Timed skill: swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a minimum of 7 feet, retrieve a 10 pound diving brick, return to the surface and swim back to the starting point, keeping the face above water and holding the 10 pound object with both hands. Please note the pool used for this course has a depth of 12-13 feet, which participants will need to submerge to in order to retrieve the brick.

March 2nd through March 6th
Class Meets: Wednesday from 5pm -10pm at ARC; Friday 5pm -10pm at UM-NCRB; Saturday and Sunday 9am -3pm at UM-NCRB
