'Life on a Desert Island,' an interactive guide to surviving the wilderness and respecting the environment, based on Daniel Defoe's 1719 classic, will be performed as a one-man outdoor spectacle play. It's 1659 and Robinson Crusoe, an English adventurer, finds himself the sole survivor of a shipwreck on an island off the coast of Trinidad. Robinson must find a way to survive on the island and overcome his fear of solitude. Watch as Robinson Crusoe learns and demonstrates the basics of fending for himself with only the tools nature provides. Robinson showcases for adventurous youngsters (and young at heart) ways to find water, grow food, make a trap, unfurl a sail, make a bow and arrow, and much more. Watch as Robinson creates a house, a boat and everyday tools before your very eyes.
